About the project

Client: an online bookstore with a wide range: fiction, non-fiction, business books, textbooks. The goal was to scale sales through Facebook/Instagram without sacrificing margins.

Strategy

Books are a high-repeat-purchase product: one satisfied reader keeps coming back. I built a strategy on two pillars: attracting new buyers through broad audiences and maximising LTV through retargeting.

What I did

  • Set up a dynamic catalog: each user sees books relevant to their interests
  • Created audiences by genre interest: sci-fi, psychology, business, children's books — separate campaigns
  • Launched a lookalike of buyers with LTV above average — finding similar "good" customers
  • Retargeted users who viewed specific book pages — a hot audience with high conversion
  • Created special "book bundle" offers to increase average order value

Conclusion
